  • Description:  9-banded armadillos are found in moist habitats like marsh, coastal areas, and pine forests and hardwood forests in the United States. They are found as a delicacy fort some people as a poor man's meal and a nuisance for homeowners and crop owners. These armadillos will dig burrows and destroy crops. They like sandy soil or clay soil for digging burrows. They do love to eat insects which is beneficial, but tearing up your lawn is not a good thing.
